The Red Wagon Award is awarded to an outstanding organization devoted to improving the lives of young people, raising awareness, encouraging action and engaging in advocacy to provide children the key supports we call the Five Promises.

Jefferson County Parks and Recreation was established in 1970.
Their mission exists to provide places and recreation opportunities for all people to gather, celebrate, contemplate, and engage in activities that promote health, well-being, community, and the environment. Its mission is to take a leadership role in harnessing resources for the purpose of planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and operating a county-wide system of parks, recreation, conservation areas, and trail opportunities for people who live, work, and visit Jefferson County WV.
Dedicated to helping West Virginia's children and youth, Jefferson County Parks & Recreation Let's Play Mobile Recreation, serves approximately 3,000 young people each year.

The Boys & Girls Club of Charleston
The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club was established in 1965 in Charleston, West Virginia. Currently, their organization has two locations: West Side of Charleston and St. Alban’s, where they focus on the priority outcome areas of academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship. With their continued efforts of impacting the young people in their local communities, they are looking to expand even further.
Mission: Their mission is simple: To enable all young people, especially those who need them the most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
Vision: The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club vision aims to provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success for every young person who enters their doors. Such endeavors put all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, while demonstrating good character, citizenship and living a healthy lifestyle.
